We’re on the Move to end Alzheimer’s

My wife Valerie and I were the Co-chairs of the 2007 & 2008 Fairfield County Alzheimer’s Memory Walk Committee.

Funds raised at the Memory Walk help provide research, support and education for those living with the disease, their families and care givers.

Do you know?

·        The Alzheimer Association is the leading voluntary health organization in Alzheimer research, care and support.

·        Their vision: a world without Alzheimer’s disease.

·        More than 5 million people are living with Alzheimer’s today.

·        Every 70 seconds a new person is diagnosed with the disease.

·        Alzheimer’s is a fatal disease with no known cure.

·        We are closer than ever to slow the progression of Alzheimer’s.

·        The Safe Return program is national registration program to assist in finding those people who wander off and forget how to get back home.

·        www.alz.orgis your on-line source for information concerning support for the family and/or caregivers.

·        The Memory Walk is a wonderful chance to pay tribute to those who have been touched by Alzheimer’s disease.

·        By walking and raising funds you have the opportunity to be part of the solution and help ensure no one faces Alzheimer’s alone.

·        All donations are tax-deductible.

·        Checks should be made payable to the Alzheimer’s Association.
